Now in its 72 nd year, the DEC Summer Camps program offers week-long adventures in conservation education for children aged 11-17. DEC operates four residential camps for children: Camp Colby in Saranac Lake (Franklin County); Camp DeBruce in Livingston Manor (Sullivan County); Camp Rushford in Caneadea (Allegany County), and Pack Forest in Warrensburg (Warren County). All four camps offer programing for children aged 11-13 and aged 14-17.
New for 2019, Camp DeBruce will host 14-17-year-old campers Week Four (July 14-19) and Week Five (July 21-26). Please note that the camp schedule is beginning and ending one week later than it did this year due to schools ending a week later in 2019.
All four camps will operate for seven one-week sessions (Sunday to Friday) beginning June 30, 2019 except for Pack Forest, which operates for eight weeks. Drop-off time is 3:00 PM on Sunday and the closing ceremony and pick-up time is Friday at 4:30 PM. One week of camp remains $350 per child for the 2019 year and includes all meals, programs and trips.

The club is still sponsoring the Columbia County Junior Olympic rifle team. They are home based at our indoor range, and as of Monday 9/21/15, they will be using the downstairs range on Monday nights from 6-8 pm. Here is a dissertation from the team's coach,
"The Columbia County Junior Olympic Shooting Program Rifle Team has been in existence since 1984. It's junior shooters have shot in competitions locally, throughout the Northeast, and at the National Shooting Championships held at Camp Perry, OH. Former shooters have shot on NCAA Rifle Teams and have attended invite-only camps at the US Olympic Training Center. Long time Coach Peter Burke passed away very unexpectedly in August 2014, but his daughter Kathy has taken over coaching responsibilities. The team just started using the indoor range at the Glencadia Rod & Gun Club as it's home range, and has been made to feel very welcome! New team members are not being accepted at this time, but if you have any questions or interest, you can contact Kathy Burke at 518-929-2709".
The kids are our future, here's another investment intoours and theirs.
Just a reminder to all who use the outdoor range , if you carry it in,carry it out. Also, if the STOP sign is up, the range is closed due to activities on the bow or sporting clays course( and range times will be limited during deer season). Also, NO JACKETED AMMO downstairs and .22 ONLY!.Be Safe.
